Let The Olympic Athletes Choose If They Want Another Location For Competition.

Boycott or not Boycott Olympics?

By allowing competitions to be moved from the troubled atmosphere, (into another non hostile non politicized, environment), a less dictated, stiff necked, event can take place.

The size and expense of the Olympics has gotten too large for any one city to host.
Certain political ideas can take center stage.
This is not what the Olympics was meant to be.

Let the athletes choose the locations for their competition if they object to the political climate of the host nation.
Let the Olympic competition be in another location, if it is agreed upon by concerned athletes and a majority of partner nations. This would be the best form of a boycott.
The athletes still get to compete in Olympic competitions. They're just set free from the objectionable political climate without losing their chance to compete.

Nations can protest to the IOC and upon determination, an alternate location can be selected to hold the one venue.
For example, the facility in Japan or Salt Lake could be used to house the one event and the athletes.
The event can still be televised. Olympic judges can still judge the event. Medals can still be handed out.
This would be a form of protest but it would still favor the athletes in their competitions.
